Aymeric HONORE

Having had the chance to live abroad since my childhood and throughout my professional life, I developed a strong open-mindedness toward other cultures. At age 50, I left marketing to promote French history and heritage by becoming a tour guide. This career change was deeply inspired by my late grandfather, a prisoner in Dunkirk who escaped from Germany and joined the Resistance. 10 years later, no regrets! What I enjoy most is connecting with visitors from around the world by bringing to life the historical events that tie our nations together.

Pierre BACHELIER

I'm a French citizen with an international upbringing and I spent my early years living in the United States, Asia, the Middle East, and across Europe before making France my home. After careers in publishing and theatre, I discovered my true passion in tourism, where I've spent the past 15 years, including 10 years as a licensed guide. I see every tour as a conversation, shaped by curiosity and moments shared—because the best tours are always the ones that reflect my client’s interests.

BattleFieldsFrance is the work of Pierre and Aymeric, two freelance licensed tour guides with a shared passion for French military history. Their goal is to go beyond dates and narratives, reconstructing the tactical decisions and human experiences that shaped history on the very ground where it unfolded—from the streets of Paris to the beaches of Normandy.
